Road Links
Guildford is approximately half way between London and the South Coast of England and the Solent, with its world famous sailing and watersports facilities. The A3 provides direct access to central London, and the M25 motorway, with Junction 10 located approximately 8 miles north east of the city centre.
London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports are within 24 and 33 minutes * drivetime respectively. London’s leading private aircraft gateway, Farnborough Airport is also only 25 minutes* away by car. (*Maporama)
When the £370m Hindhead Tunnel opens in mid 2011, the A3 will also provide a continuous dual carriageway link from Guildford to Portsmouth and on to Southampton, where Southampton Airport provides a convenient alternative to the major airports for those living to the south of Guildford.
Rail Links
There are frequent rail services to London Waterloo the fastest taking just
33 minutes*. (*British Rail).
Early in 2009 airport operator BAA intends to seek consent to construct Heathrow Airtrack. This direct rail link between Heathrow Terminal 5 and Guildford will provide two trains an hour in each direction. (www.baa.com)
Car Parking
As well as Greenwey’s own on-site parking provision, the site is close to several public car parks with more than 2,000 spaces in total. Park and Ride schemes are in operation as part of a plan eventually to provide park and ride facilities on the main north, south east and west approaches to the town.
